Pentagon to award medal to Slaughterer Israel’s Baby Killer Barak

Israeli Minister for Military Affairs Ehud Barak is expected to receive a medal from the US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta only days after announcing his resignation.

Barak will receive the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service from his American counterpart on Thursday, when he will visit the Pentagon.

The Israeli media consider the medal as “the highest award he could be given by a US secretary of defense.”

On November 26, the 70-year-old Barak, who served as Israel’s 14th chief of staff and has a 36-year military career, announced that he is retiring from politics and will not contend in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Barak, known as a leading strategist in the Tel Aviv regime, has been a regular visitor to the US Department of Defense in the past years, and has had regular telephone conversations with the Pentagon, particularly during the eight-day war on Gaza this month.

“He’s [Barak] been an important partner of the US for a long time,” a US defense official said.

Barak’s announcement over his plans to end his political career came only a few days after the end of the deadly Israeli war on Gaza.

Over 160 Palestinians, including many women and children, were killed and about 1,200 others were injured in the Israeli attacks between November 14 and 21.

In retaliation, the Palestinian resistance fighters fired rockets and missiles into Israeli cities, killing at least five Israelis.
