Pezeshkian Says US and European Nations of Backing Brutal Zionist Government, Remaining Silent on Alleged Genocide
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly criticized the United States and European nations for their backing of Israel's administration, which he accused of perpetrating violent actions in Gaza and throughout the West Asian region.

At a recent event on Tuesday, Masoud Pezeshkian underscored the challenging situation unfolding in the region, noting “a series of successive incidents.” This statement seemingly alludes to the ongoing conflict initiated by Israel in Gaza, which has now extended into Lebanon.
The President of Iran has issued a strong condemnation against the United States and several European nations, accusing them of betraying their stance as defenders of human rights. He criticized these countries for their backing of what he described as the “savage” Israeli regime, which he claimed operates without regard for international norms and continues its violent actions.
The self-described defenders of human rights question: “Why do you carry out executions for murderers?” Meanwhile, they should be asked: “Why do you remain silent regarding the killing of women and children?”
In his statements, Pezeshkian underscored the critical need for solidarity among Muslims as a means to counteract adversarial schemes.
His remarks were made a day following the first anniversary of the conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated military operations in Gaza following a surprise offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. This move was in retaliation to what Hamas described as the Israeli regime’s prolonged history of violence and destruction inflicted upon the Palestinian people.
The recent offensive in Gaza by the regime has resulted in the deaths of over 41,909 Palestinians, with the majority being women and children. Additionally, 97,303 individuals have sustained injuries in the conflict. Furthermore, thousands remain unaccounted for and are feared to be trapped beneath the debris.
In October 2023, Israel expanded its military operations to include targets in Lebanon, following the initiation of its conflict with the Gaza Strip.
Since late last month, the regime has intensified its military assaults on Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of individuals.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah has launched a series of counter-offensive operations in response to recent acts of aggression.
The Health Ministry of Lebanon has reported that over 2,000 individuals have lost their lives in Israeli assaults on Lebanon over the past year.
