Pezeshkian States Iran Indifferent to Outcome of US Election

President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the outcome of the US presidential election holds no significant impact on Iran, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic draws its resilience from its intrinsic strength and national honor.

During a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday, Pezeshkian stated that the outcome of the United States presidential election bears no significance to his country. He emphasized that the strength of the nation and its institutions is rooted in their inherent capabilities and the honor and dignity of the people.

He highlighted that Iran perceives “no boundaries to the growth and enhancement of relations with other nations.”

In a recent statement, a leading Iranian official emphasized that enhancing relationships with Muslim and neighboring nations ranks as one of Iran’s foremost strategic priorities. The official underscored Iran’s firm commitment to fostering unity and solidarity among Muslim countries.

Pezeshkian emphasized that a united front among Muslim nations could have prevented the Zionist regime from carrying out atrocities against the Palestinian and Lebanese populations with impunity.

Iran’s Vice President for Strategic Affairs, Mohammad Javad Zarif, asserted that a significant portion of U.S. voters, particularly the majority of the Muslim community, have clearly voiced their disapproval of Washington’s prolonged complicity in Israeli actions in Gaza and the violence witnessed in Lebanon.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, expressed optimism that the forthcoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump and Ohio Senator-elect JD Vance will fulfill their electoral commitments to cease ongoing conflicts. Zarif highlighted the significant message delivered by the American electorate on the necessity of concluding current military engagements and averting future ones.

He emphasized that Iran has consistently demonstrated its resolve and capability to confront any form of aggression. The nation, he noted, is not swayed by threats but places a high value on respect.

Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Iran’s parliament, stated that the election of former President Donald Trump will not alter Iran’s strategic policies regarding the United States, nor will it hinder Iran’s strong and decisive counteraction to the recent Israeli attack.

Azizi stated that the “malicious regime and its leader will face a decisive response.”

In a decisive electoral victory, Donald Trump secured re-election as President on Wednesday, overcoming his opponent Kamala Harris with a substantial margin.
