Massive explosion reported in eastern Baghdad

The sound of an unidentified blast was heard near the Sha’ab area east of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

No further details were released, and it was not immediately clear what caused the blast in eastern Iraq.

Earlier, the Islamic Resistance Movement of Hezbollah in Iraq (Kata’ib Hezbollah) described the escalation of criminal activities in Iraq as part of the US’ vicious strategy to legitimize its presence in Iraq.
