Popular Support For President Al-Asad and Rejection of Foreign Interference

-Mass gatherings were organized in Saba Bahrat Square in Damascus and al-Nahr Street in Deir Ezzor in support of the comprehensive reform program and rejecting foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs.

In Saba Bahrat Square in Damascus, the participants raised national flags and banners condemning the conspiracy targeting their country and glorifying the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab army and the law-enforcement members to defend Syria.

Participants said the gathering sends a clear message that the Syrians reject foreign interference in their own affairs and support the comprehensive reform program led by President Bashar al-Assad.

”The terrorist acts of the armed groups and their targeting the army and civilians reveal the conspirators’ intentions, hidden underneath false mottos, ” said Bilal Shaqfeh, a participant.

In Deir Ezzor, citizens gathered at al-Nahr Street to express rejection of foreign meddling and support to reforms, chanting national unity slogans.

Participants denounced the terrorist acts by the armed groups against innocent civilians and private and public property, calling for striking with iron fist everyone who tampers with safety and security in Syria.
