The Syrian army, informed of Jund al-Aqsa terrorists’ plan to attack al-Samsam town, launched a preemptive artillery strike and killed most of the militants in their gathering center in Northern Hama.

During the operations, the Syrian troops inflicted large casualties on the terrorists and destroyed several vehicles.

The army also launched artillery attacks against the terrorists’ positions in Ma’an and Halfaya towns in Northern Hama.

The Syrian air force also pounded a gathering center of militants in Taybat al-Imam, destroying a vehicle building a fortress for the terrorists in the Eastern parts of coal plant near the railway as well as several cars carrying militants in the road linking al-Tamana’a and Sakik.

The Syrian warplanes also pounded the terrorists’ positions in Bazam and Naseriya as well as Souran, Taybat al-Imam, Ma’an, Halfaya, al-Latmana and Kokab regions which killed tens of militants and destroyed a number of tanks and military vehicles.

Earlier today, the Syrian army units in their operations against the terrorist groups in Hama killed tens of militants in the Southeastern parts of Marradas town.

Field sources said more than 150 terrorists were killed and dozens of others were wounded during the operations which also smashed the militants’ armored vehicles, equipped with machine guns.

After starting their operations in Marradas town, the Syrian army and resistance forces fully purged the Western parts of the town following intense clashes with Jund al-Aqsa terrorists.

“Now they are continuing the cleansing operations in the Eastern parts of the town concurrent with which the resistance forces’ missile and artillery fire is pounding the militants’ positions in the countryside of the town and its Eastern parts, killing tens of terrorists so far,” sources said on Thursday.
