President Ahmadinejad: Vibrant election will turn the situation to Iran’s advantage

ahmadinejad2 Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that a vibrant presidential election will turn the situation to the country’s advantage.
Iran’s presidential election will be held on June 14.

“Internal problems will be sorted out more than in the past and regional and international situations will change in favor of the Iranian nation through a vibrant election,” Ahmadinejad said during a meeting with a number of MPs on Sunday.

He also said that the administration was seeking to pave the way for a vibrant election with maximal voter participation.

“The enemies are making every effort to discourage people, but when the people enter the scene, everything will change, so we should aim for a massive turnout in the election,” he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, President Ahmadinejad pointed to the dispute between Iran and the United States and a number of its allies over the country’s nuclear program and said, “Although the enemy has imposed sanctions on the country, it is possible to neutralize the sanctions in such a way that they lose face in the world.”

In addition, he said that the Iranian nation had proved that it would not abandon their principles and causes under pressure.
