President Asks Vigilance against Arrogant Powers’ Pro-Israeli Plots

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cautioned the regional nations to maintain vigilance against the pro-Israeli plots hatched by arrogant powers.

“Arrogant powers and enemies of nations are trying to manage the developments in the region so as to save the Zionist regime,” Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with Mahmoud al-Zahar, a senior official of the Palestinian Hamas movement, here in Tehran on Sunday.

“We should not downplay and underestimate the plots and actions of the enemies, because they are seeking to save the Zionist regime with more sophisticated plots. To that effect, they may pretend to rebuke the Zionist regime, but their main objective is to save this regime.”

“We have to be more vigilant in a bid to be able to neutralize their conspiracies.”

During the meeting, Zahar praised Iran’s all-out support for Palestinians.

Iranian officials have on many occasions voiced Tehran’s continued support for Palestinians and their resistance against the Zionist regime of Israel.

The Iranian officials also stressed that the Islamic Awakening movement in the region has provided a great chance and a unique opportunity for Muslim states, and noted that all Islamic awakening movements have in common the issue of Palestine and confronting the Zionist regime.
