Egypt mends ties with Iran, no matter who takes the power

“ElBaradei underlined many times that if he takes the power of Egypt, he will mend ties with Iran in different realms,” said the Political Analyst.
An Iranian political analyst says the former International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) secretary general Mohammed ElBaradei reiterated that if he takes the power of Egypt, he will mend ties with Iran in different realms.

In an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency, the Middle East Political Analyst Sadollah Zarei pointed to the fact that resuming relations with Iran is one of the demands of Egyptian people.”

”Considering this fact whoever becomes the president of Egypt, he should restore the relations with Iran,” the analyst added.

“Egyptian people are after changing and resuming relations with Iran can be regarded as a symbol of this change,” Zarei said.

He delineated the categories of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and said,” actually Muslim Brotherhood does not follow a united policy in the case of election and it is not obvious whether they will introduce any candidate for the upcoming presidential election or not.”

“Considering the election issue, Muslim brotherhood consists of three spectrums,” said the political analyst as underlined,” the first category is the traditional one and most of leader of Muslim brotherhood are in this category.”

“This category do not agree with introducing an independent candidate for the election, they also support ElBaradei in election campaign,” he underlined.

“The second movement is after introducing a candidate,” he said as added,” this candidate, as this group plans, should be introduced without having the name of Brotherhood, in other words the candidate apparently should not be introduced as a member of brotherhood but still has penetration in the body of Brotherhood.”

“The third category entered to the stage of election competition by forming a new and independent party (independent from Muslim Brotherhood),” Sadollah Zarei underlined.

“The traditional category of Muslim Brotherhood believe that they should eschew from taking the power, because in this way they should take the responsibility of running the country,” the political underlined.

“They believe that in such condition their rivals would exploit the foibles of Muslims Brotherhood,” he added.

“To this group, Muslim Brotherhood should stay in the margin,” the Middle East analyst underlined.

He pointed to the ElBaradei and said, “To Egyptian people, ElBaradei has a Islamic character and Egyptian Islamists also support him, so some parts of his popularity derives from this factor.”

Sadollah Zarei underscored that Mohamed Mustafa ElBaradei is a national and international figure as added,” this man has high capabilities for running the country and many Muslim Brotherhood members regard him as a catalyst, in other words, they believe that he can led Egypt from military council to forming a stable government.”

He also pointed to foreign policy of Egypt and said,” the relation of the country with the U.S will be balanced and this relation with the regime of Israel will be inactive if it is not cut.”

“Comparing the Mubarak time, the Islamic countries will tend to have more relations with Iran,” Zarei expressed.
