Raad: Syria Punished for Supporting Resistance, Conspirators to Fall

Head of “Loyalty to the Resistance bloc” MP Mohammad Raad stressed that “Syria is being punished today because it supports the Resistance in Lebanon.”

“Syria is being punished because it did not accept to stand by Saddam Hussein in his aggressive war on Iran and because it rejected the US and “Israeli” conditions which many regional regimes accepted,” Raad said.

In a speech delivered in a festival celebrating the Birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (P.B. U. H), the MP viewed that those objecting the reform track of the Syrian regime don’t reach the level of forming a Syrian popular majority.”

“Also, those who want peaceful reforms call for dialogue and accept what the regime proposes from reforms because they are realistic in their dealings with the change,” Raad added.

He also said that “those conspiring against Syria will fall and the Syrian people will then have the opportunity to make their own choices,” noting that “Syria today started to emerge from the tunnel of the crisis which won’t last for long time.”
