Rafsanjani: Maintenance of Islamic system’s interests tied to interactions

Chairman of the Expediency Council, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, has considered the constructive interactions of the new Iranian administration with the Expediency Council to the interest of the sacred Islamic system and in line with resolution of the problems of the Iranian nation.

According to IRIB World Service, Ayatollah Rafsanjani made these remarks in a meeting which was convened on Saturday in the Expediency Council in the presence of the heads of the three branches of government.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani considered the presence of the new Iranian President Hassan Rohani in this meeting as the sign of the indomitable resolve of the new administration to maintain a positive and constructive cooperation with the Expediency Council, while pointing out that the Iranian nation expect the Iranian administration to positively respond to their demands.
In further remarks, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said that while the majority of neighboring countries of Iran are grappling with crises, the Islamic Republic of Iran held the exemplary presidential elections on June 14, 2013.
