Saudi Spying Aircraft Down in Yemen’s Hajja Province

“The army and popular forces shot down a Saudi reconnaissance plane near Midi desert in Hajja province,” the Arabic-language media quoted an unnamed military source as saying on Wednesday.

In the meantime, the Yemeni army’s missile unit hit the gathering centers of the Saudi troops in al-Tawwal border passage in Jizan province.

In Assir province, the army and popular forces destroyed an armored vehicle of the Saudi army in Qolal al-Sheibani region.

In the kingdom’s Najran province, Yemeni forces’ Katyusha rockers pounded Saudi Arabia’s artillery unit in a region West of Mahdouq and the arms depots behind them.

On Tuesday, the Yemeni forces fired ballistic missiles at the facilities of the Saudi state oil giant, Aramco, in the kingdom’s Southwest in a retaliatory attack launched after Saudi fighter jets targeted civilians.

The retaliatory attack took place on Tuesday morning, hitting targets in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan region and causing considerable damage to the Aramco facilities there, the Arabic-language news website Al Masirah reported.

Earlier on Wednesday, Saudi-led airstrikes are intensified on several cities in Yemen, destroying civilian targets and vital infrastructures of the country.

At least 20 people have lost their lives and many others sustained injuries in a number of Saudi airstrikes against residential neighborhoods across Yemen, al-Masirah television network reported.

According to reports, Saudi fighter jets pounded al-Rawdah Village and the Nihm district in the Yemeni province of Sana’a in addition to an area close to a military academy in the capital, Sana’a, leaving four people dead and scores of others injured.

Also, Sixteen people, mostly women and children, also lost their lives and a number of others were wounded when Saudi warplanes pounded houses in the Sahan district of Yemen’s Northwestern mountainous province of Sa’ada.

Saudi bombers also launched an aerial attack against a gas station in the Northwestern city of Hajjah. There were no immediate reports of casualties and the extent of damage caused. The Mustaba district in Hajjah Province was also hit, though no reports of casualties were available.

Separately, seven people were injured in an airstrike against a courthouse in Yemen’s Northwestern province of Amran.

The Saudi military has been pounding Yemen since March last year to undermine Yemen’s Ansarullah movement and to restore power to the former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

Nearly 10,000 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in Riyadh’s military aggression which lacks any international mandate.
