Resistance to US Cementing Iran-Nicaragua Ties: President

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed the constructive cooperation with Nicaragua in the international organizations, saying resistance against the US’ hostility and pressures is deepening relations between Tehran and Managua.

In a meeting with Nicaragua’s Foreign Minister Denis Moncada, held in Tehran on Sunday, Raisi described the great capacities of Iran and the Latin American countries as a suitable platform for the development of relations with Nicaragua.

Referring to the good bilateral relations between Iran and Nicaragua and the positive and constructive cooperation between the two countries in international institutions and organizations, the president described resistance against the enmities and pressures of the arrogant powers, especially the US, as one of the factors deepening the relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Raisi also condemned the misuse of human rights against the independent and resistant countries by America and the West, highlighted the US’ miscalculation in new plots against the resistant nations, and underlined that the promotion of cooperation between the aligned countries is one of the ways to neutralize the pressure of the arrogant front.

For his part, Moncada lauded Iran’s resistance against the pressures and sanctions of the United States, the Iranian president’s website reported.

Emphasizing the importance of compiling and implementing a comprehensive document on economic and commercial cooperation between Nicaragua and Iran, the foreign minister stressed the need to strengthen the commercial exchanges and economic cooperation between the two states.
