In a recent development, al-Mayadeen has reported that United States forces carried out airstrikes targeting seven villages located east of the Euphrates River. These areas are currently under the jurisdiction of the Syrian government.

Iraqi resistance forces have carried out numerous attacks on U.S.-operated military bases in Iraq and Syria. This surge in hostilities comes amid escalating anti-U.S. sentiments in the region, fueled by Washington’s support for what is perceived as Israel’s continued military actions in Gaza.
Approximately 2,500 American troops remain stationed in Iraq, alongside around 900 in Syria, as part of a contingent that Washington asserts is dedicated to combating the Islamic State group, also known as Daesh.

The United States frequently carries out airstrikes in Syria, citing efforts to combat terrorism as the primary justification.
The Syrian government has submitted multiple letters to the United Nations, urging the international organization to halt the ongoing US aerial attacks and its military presence within Syria.
