Over 7mn mourners mark Ashura in Karbala

Iraqi officials have lauded the success of the security plan designed to protect the Muharram commemorations from dangers mainly from the Daesh-sponsored terror attacks. At least 7 million mourners took part in the ceremonies to mark the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad – Imam Hussein and 72 of his companions.
