Saudi Crown Prince Expresses Concerns Over Assassination Risks Due to Efforts to Normalize Relations with ‘israel’: US Magazine
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is reportedly concerned about the possibility of an "assassination" due to his initiatives to normalize the kingdom's relations with Israel.

In a column released on Wednesday, the American online news outlet Politico disclosed the issue, referencing the royal’s recent discussions with US legislators.
“The Saudi royal informed Congress members that his life is at risk due to his efforts to achieve a comprehensive deal with the US and Israel, which involves normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel,” the article stated.
“He has, on at least one occasion, referenced Anwar Sadat—the Egyptian leader who was assassinated after negotiating a peace agreement with Israel—questioning what measures the US took to safeguard Sadat,” the statement continued.
In 2020, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco established rapprochement agreements with the regime, facilitated by the United States.
Washington has allegedly been attempting to include Riyadh in the effort to strengthen regional backing for Tel Aviv, its most valued ally.
In July, the Biden administration revealed that a potential agreement for normalizing relations between the US and Saudi Arabia could be imminent, following discussions between National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Saudi officials in Jeddah.
In September, however, reports emerged that the kingdom had notified the United States of its decision to halt all talks on potential reconciliation, citing the Israeli cabinet’s apparent refusal to make any compromises with the Palestinians.
A month after the regime began its ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported that Riyadh was “pausing US-supported efforts to normalize relations with Israel.”
According to sourcing from a former U.S. official and individuals familiar with the discussions between bin Salman and members of Congress, Politico reported that the Saudi crown prince is determined to pursue the significant agreement with the U.S. and Israel, despite associated risks, viewing it as vital for the future of his nation.
The agreement allegedly includes several promises from Washington to Riyadh, such as security assurances, support for the kingdom’s nuclear initiatives, and economic investments in technology and other sectors.
