Iran Embassy in Turkey rejects claims over training PKK forces

Iran’s Embassy in Turkey rejected claims made by the Turkish newspaper “Aksam” that the members of the PKK terrorist group have been trained in the Iranian territory to carry out sabotage acts in Turkey.

Media section of the Iranian Embassy sent a letter to the director of the Turkish daily to show Tehran’s protest.

The embassy’s letter describes such claim as baseless, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not let any measure to be taken against the interests of the Turkish nation through the Iranian soil.

Iran has always been the victim of terrorism, the letter stressed, adding that Tehran welcomes any move to fight terrorist operations.

The Iranian Embassy reiterated that publishing such unfounded information would damage national interests of all world countries, stressing that this is what the foreign powers are pursuing in the region.
