Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Calls on Politicians to Reduce Intersections

30290c2297eed2a13ae773afd3d39b81During a meeting with the delegation of the Iraqi Islamic Party led by its president, Ayad al-Samarrai, Sunday, May 12, 2013, in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, has called all the political parties to get over their disputes and cut off intersections, stressing that partnership is key to the building of the nation and an important pillar to achieve success and build a stable, united Iraq.
The sides discussed the late developments in the country and how to find a way out of the current crisis in order to maintain the political stability, as well as the results of the last elections, where they highlighted the necessity that all components be widely represented and all winning parties contribute to the formation of the local governments that provide better services to the citizens.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Salim Jabbouri of the Islamic Party, and Sheikh Hameed Maalleh of the Superior Council.
