Security tight as Tunisia forms govt.

Tunisian army has deployed troops in the streets of the capital, Tunis, to prevent violence as acting leaders are discussing the composition of a unity government.

Soldiers took up posts around Tunis, with tanks guarding strategic facilities like ministries and some major crossroads, the Associated Press reported on Sunday.

Security has been tight in the capital to encounter any possible protest or looting attempt.

The city is reportedly calm following days of post-revolution unrest that claimed dozens of lives.

The posters of ex-President Zine El Abidin Ben Ali were coming down, a vivid signal to citizens that Tunisia is moving on after 23 years of autocratic rule. Even the main state TV station changed its name.

Politicians are now discussing a presidential election within two months under international supervision.

Interim President Foued Mebazaa says all Tunisians will be included in national politics.

The exiled head of the main Tunisian opposition party, Rached Ghannouchi, also says he plans to return home.
