The head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Daamoush, emphasized on Sunday that maintaining the path of resistance is crucial in staying true to the cause of Imam Hussein (A.S.).
At the central Ashura commemoration held at Sayyed Al-Shuhada Compound, Sheikh Daamoush emphasized the current relevance of this message in light of the ongoing actions by the Zionist entity, which continues to perpetrate terror and violence. This includes recent acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic, as well as efforts to destabilize the region.
The statement emphasizes a deep commitment to the cause of Imam Hussein, highlighting the sacrifices made by martyrs, particularly the revered leader among them, the Hashemite martyr. It underscores a perpetual pledge of allegiance, declaring unwavering support with the repeated vow: “I will never abandon you, O Hussein.”
Sheikh Daamoush asserted that the Islamic Republic transformed the aggression into a war of attrition against its adversaries. He further highlighted the success of Iran’s missile capabilities in hitting their targets, noting that this is a scenario the Zionists are unaccustomed to witnessing within their territory.
Iran has successfully maintained its nuclear capabilities and political stability, emerging stronger and more unified in the face of external aggression. The nation, bolstered by the solidarity of its citizens, has demonstrated resilience in a manner acknowledged globally.
Israel has come to the conclusion that the ambition of overthrowing the Islamic regime in Iran is unrealistic and merely an illusion, according to statements made by his eminence.
Iran has successfully navigated through sanctions, pressures, and crises, achieving significant progress and development across sectors such as knowledge, technology, and defense. In the face of numerous adversarial strategies, Iran remains on course with unwavering strength and determination.
Sheikh Daamoush emphasized that the ongoing and escalating aggression in Lebanon is intended to exert pressure on the resistance’s supporters, urging them to withdraw their backing. However, he affirmed that “our response, along with yours, has consistently been one of heightened patience, steadfast commitment, and solidarity with the resistance.”
The leadership and combatants of this resistance, characterized by their martyrdom spirit and sacrifice, remain unwavering and resilient. Supported wholeheartedly by its populace, this movement proves indefatigable against attempts to subdue it. Its enduring presence underscores that its strategy of patience is far from a sign of weakness. Instead, it stands as an essential force confronting unparalleled acts of American and Israeli dominance.
Sheikh Daamoush emphasized that resistance signifies Lebanon’s determination to retain all its strengths to avoid being drawn into situations akin to those in Gaza or Syria.
Certain voices urge acceptance of Israel’s occupation of a portion of our territory and advocate for normalization. However, this remains implausible as long as there exists a dignified resistance and fighters dedicated to upholding the honor of the nation and the Lebanese populace.
His eminence pointed out that those who adhered to American or Israeli conditions have only been met with minimal gains.
Efforts to draw Lebanon into normalization efforts are perceived as attempts to embroil the nation in conflict that benefits adversarial interests. Such actions, aimed at forcing Lebanon onto a path of normalization, are feared to result in the nation’s stagnation and potential state collapse.
Hezbollah has announced that the Resistance Party has already disbursed 80% of the compensation owed to homeowners whose properties were destroyed or damaged during the Israeli conflict. The group also criticized the Lebanese public for what they perceive as a lack of seriousness in addressing the reconstruction efforts.
