Six zionist soldiers killed and injured as clashes in Jenin escalate
A zionist soldier lost his life and five others sustained injuries amid Palestinian resistance to a significant Israeli military operation in Jenin. The offensive commenced shortly after a ceasefire brought a conclusion to 15 months of Israeli military actions in Gaza.

The Israeli Defense Forces have reported the death of Sergeant Liam Hazi, a 20-year-old soldier serving in the Kfir Brigade’s Haruv reconnaissance unit. Hailing from the city of Rosh Haayin, Sergeant Hazi was killed on Thursday, according to an official military statement.
The military authorities have verified that one individual among the injured is in critical condition following an exchange of gunfire involving its soldiers and at least two armed Palestinian men in Jenin camp. According to reports, the two gunmen were able to escape the scene after the encounter in the building.
The death of an Israeli soldier has occurred amidst a significant military offensive initiated by government forces in the northern West Bank last week.
On Thursday, Israeli gunfire resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians and left several others injured, including three women, during confrontations in the Jenin refugee camp.
According to local reports, Israeli military armored vehicles advanced into the camp on Thursday evening, resulting in an exchange of gunfire with Palestinian resistance fighters.
According to a report by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, which referenced information from the Ministry of Health, two individuals were fatally shot by Israeli forces.
Palestinian security sources have reported that Yazan Hatem al-Hassan and Amir Abu Hassan have been identified as the deceased individuals. Their bodies are currently being held by Israeli authorities.
Heightened tensions have gripped the West Bank amidst Israel’s military operations in Gaza, leading to significant casualties. As of October 7, 2023, reports indicate that at least 47,460 individuals have lost their lives and another 111,580 have been wounded. A ceasefire agreement, accompanied by a prisoner exchange, was implemented in Gaza on January 19, halting the hostilities.
During the same timeframe, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Israeli forces were responsible for the deaths of at least 893 Palestinians and the injuries of over 6,700 others in the West Bank.
Since the recent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was implemented in Gaza, at least 19 Palestinians have reportedly lost their lives in Jenin. The area has also witnessed numerous injuries, detentions, and forced evictions of families during this time.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has announced that its operations to assist the injured and recover the deceased are being hindered by the Israeli military.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reports that the establishment of numerous military checkpoints and barriers throughout the West Bank has led to considerable disruptions for local residents, with civilians experiencing delays ranging from six to eight hours.
