Supreme Leader of Islamic Ummah: Iran poised to firmly decline any negotiations that involve pressure tactics from dominant world powers
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has stated that the persistent demand from certain dominant powers for negotiations with Iran is not intended to address underlying issues.

During a meeting held in Tehran on Saturday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei expressed his views in the presence of senior leaders of Iran’s legislative, executive, and judicial branches, along with several government officials.
The Leader remarked that certain dominant governments push for negotiations not with the intention of resolving issues, but to assert and impose their own agendas.
Ayatollah Khamenei firmly declared that the Islamic Republic would categorically reject any such expectations.
Ayatollah Khamenei has asserted that certain governments are not focused solely on the nuclear negotiations but are utilizing these discussions as a means to impose additional demands on Iran, particularly concerning its defense and international capabilities. He stressed that Iran is firmly opposed to such expectations.
He stated that by bringing up the topic of negotiations, they aim to influence public opinion, which has led to Iran’s refusal to engage in discussions with them, despite their declared willingness to enter talks.
The Iranian Leader has issued a sharp rebuke to European nations, condemning them for what he described as baseless accusations against Iran. He labeled the European claims that Iran has failed to meet its nuclear commitments as “irrational.”
Ayatollah Khamenei has criticized European nations, accusing them of failing to uphold their obligations under the nuclear agreement. He questioned their compliance by saying, “You claim Iran has not met its nuclear commitments, but did you fulfill your own? From the start, you have not adhered to your responsibilities.”
The Leader noted that following the United States’ withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear accord, European nations had pledged to provide compensation but ultimately did not deliver on their commitments.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that the foundational tenets of Western civilization stand in opposition to the core principles of Islam, asserting that adherence to them is not feasible.
The Leader emphasized the importance of leveraging global opportunities, but cautioned against relying solely on the tenets of Western civilization.
The leader criticized Western nations, stating that actions such as colonization, resource exploitation, widespread violence, misrepresentations about human rights and women’s rights, and inconsistent policies on various matters have cast a shadow of disgrace over Western civilization.
Ayatollah Khamenei has criticized the West, asserting that the notion of free dissemination of information is merely a falsehood.
In other parts of his speech, the Leader highlighted Iran’s economic challenges, emphasizing the critical need for reforms in the nation’s monetary policies and the revaluation of the national currency.
In a call for greater unity, Ayatollah Khamenei has emphasized the need for Iranian officials to bolster cohesion in addressing national challenges. He highlighted the importance of enhanced collaboration among the government’s executive, legislative, and judicial branches, alongside the Armed Forces, to effectively tackle prevailing issues.
