Palestinian death toll rises to at least 655

The Israeli war machinery continues to target the besieged Gaza Strip from air and land, pushing the Palestinian death toll to at least 655.
Palestinian officials said on Wednesday that new attacks have killed at least two dozen Palestinians, including several children.
Medics say at least 150 others have also been injured in the ongoing Israeli onslaught on the coastal enclave.
Sources say nearly a dozen of victims were killed in tank shelling in the southern town of Khan Yunis.

Latest reports say Israeli jets have pounded multiple sites across the impoverished region, including a mosque and the enclave’s sole power plant.
Local residents say at least one person was killed and dozens more wounded near the targeted mosque.

According to figures provided by emergency services, the total number of people killed since the Israeli offensive on July 8 stands at nearly 655. More than 4,200 people have been injured in the attacks.
Israeli military admits that more than 400 of those killed have been civilians, including women and children.
The United Nations says Israel’s military actions could amount to war crimes.
