59 percent disapprove of Obama’s job performance: Poll

A majority of people in the United States do not approve of President Barack Obama’s job performance, according to a new survey.
The Associated Press-GfK poll showed 59 percent disapprove of the president’s job performance – a record high for his presidency – while 41 percent approve.
The poll released on Wednesday said that 40 percent of respondents approve Obama’s handling of international relations.
Fifty-four percent of those surveyed said they dislike the US president’s interactions with Russia and 57 percent said they dislike his handling of the situation in Ukraine.
Richard Johnson, a politically independent retiree in Redmond, Wash., believes Washington should not have gotten involved at all.
“They’re protesting in both directions, right?” he said. “So I just feel like we’ve got enough problems here at home, why are we looking for more trouble?”
The poll was conducted March 20-24. It involved online interviews with 1,012 adults and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points for all respondents.
