Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on ISIL Terrorists in Hama Province

 

The Syrian army hit hard the terrorists’ military positions and hardware in Eastern Hama province.

The terrorists in Hama province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Homs and Damascus, over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in Syria’s key provinces.

Hama

The Syrian army, supported by the air force, continued military operations against the ISIL in Eastern Hama, advancing in new regions.

The army units launched military operations in Eastern Hama and opened their way into the ISIL-held district of Salem, inflicting losses on the terrorists.

Also, the artillery, missile and air force units of the Syrian army targeted ISIL positions in Khat al-Betrol region, including a military convoy, killing tens of militants.

The Syrian fighter jets also pounded ISIL bases in the Eastern parts of Ithriya-North of Abu Jabilat-Aqayrabat, Harmaleh region and Tabarat al-Mariya heights in Eastern Hama.

Also, 2 ISIL vehicles tried to pass through the government-controlled frontline near Ithriyah checkpoint while escaping Eastern Hama to Raqqa, but army soldiers opened fire at them, destroying both vehicles and killing all those in the trucks.

Meantime, the Syrian soldiers shot down an ISIL drone in Khat al-Betrol in the Southeastern parts of the town of Aqarib in al-Salamiyah region.

Homs

The Syrian troops continued anti-ISIL military operations in Eastern Homs, regaining control over several points and inching closer to the strategic region of Arak.

The army soldiers retook control of several hills overlooking Arak region in Northeastern Palmyra (Tadmur) after heavy clashes with ISIL terrorists.

The Syrian army units also continued to advance in Southeastern Palmyra, and seized back control of Montaj Znobia region in the Eastern parts of al-Sukri mines, 4km away from Palmyra.

Meantime, the Syrian soldiers liberated Tal al-Fara region in Eastern al-Sawanah in the Eastern parts of Homs after fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists.

Also, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL moves in al-Talileh region and the Southern parts of it as well as Be’r al-Badi’e in Eastern Homs.

Also, the Syrian fighter jets pounded terrorists’ movements in al-Talileh region and areas to its South as well as Be’r al-Badi’e in Eastern Homs.

A military source referred to the army’s advance in Eastern Homs, and said the Syrian soldiers killed tens of ISIL terrorists during these clashes and destroyed their military equipment.

Damascus

The Syrian army troops continued military operations against Jeish al-Islam terrorists in the town of Hawsh al-Dawahra in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus province on Thursday and were about to the take the town.

According to a field source, only a number of buildings and a farmland are currently remaining under militants’ control, while most of the districts in the town have been liberated by Syrian government troops.

The government forces also managed to break into Hawsh al-Salahiyah, cutting off Tall Farzat-al-Nashabiyah supply route.

The Syrian soldiers also captured several points, including the large hilltop of Tal al-Abd, Southeast of the strategic airbase of al-Dhumayr in the region.
