Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on Terrorists in Hama Province

 

The Syrian army hit hard the terrorists’ military positions and hardware in the Northeastern part of Hama province.

The terrorists in Hama province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at terrorists’ positions and gathering centers in Northeastern Hama on Friday, inflicting major losses on the militants.

Terrorists’ strongholds in Kafr Zita and al-Latamina region in Northeastern Hama came under heavy fire of the artillery and missile units of the army.

A number of terrorists were killed or wounded and their military hardware were damaged in the army fire.

Relevant repots said that the army men pushed Al-Nusra back from the small town of Mawilah, Tal (hill) Mahsar and the village of al-Jamileh North of the small town of al-Hamra.

The army soldiers also captured al-Banat hill North of the village of al-Rabi’eh.

The army’s engineering units started defusing bombs and landmines planted by the terrorists in the region.

Deir Ezzur

A sum of 25 ISIL field commanders were killed in the Syrian Air Force’s combat flight over terrorists’ position in the town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, a dissident-affiliated website reported on Friday.

The Arabic-language al-Darar news website reported that 25 notorious ISIL commanders were killed in the army air raid on the venue of a meeting of ISIL’s local leaders in Albu Kamal.

Senior ISIL commanders, including field commander Abu Roqaya al-Faransi and security commander Sadam al-Jamal had participated in the meeting.

Hazem al-Barqash, a member of ISIL’s consultative council, and 13 other religious leaders, including Mola Hami, Haytham al-Qazi nom de guerre Tak Tak, Foras al-Homsi nom de guerre Abu Ayesha, Abu Asma al-Shami, Abu Walid Faloujah, Abu Torab al-Turkistani, Abu Davoud al-Tajiki and Abu Talha al-Shishani were among the dead terrorists in the raid.

Field sources said that the army troops resumed their operation in the Western flank and managed to deploy Northwest of Albu Kamal parallel to al-Hamdan airport.

The Arabic-language al-Akhbar daily reported that if the army can stabilize its positions in the regions, it will lay siege on ISIL in Albu Kamal from three directions, adding that there will remain only one way open for the ISIL towards the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River, which is the operational zone of the US-backed forces in a de-confliction agreement between Washington and Moscow.

The Syrian Army will possibly intensify its pressure on ISIL from Southeast of the town of al-Mayadeen to further advance against the terrorists.

Military sources confirmed earlier on Friday that the army troops, backed up by the country’s Air Force, managed to advance against ISIL in the town of Albu Kamal at the border with Iraq.

The army men stormed ISIL’s positions in the town of Albu Kamal and advanced against the terrorists, deploying on the Western bank of the Euphrates River in the town.

Also, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists in a region near the Vehicles Management Base in Harasta.

Source in Damascus police command center said that three civilians were killed and seven others were wounded in the terrorists’ missile attack in Eastern Ghouta.
