Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Makes New Gains in Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian army continued its military operations in the Northern outskirts of Deir Ezzur by purging terrorists from key villages and regions.

The army units pushed the ISIL away from more positions near al-Siyasah bridge in the Eastern bank of Euphrates River.

The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army forces expanded the range of their advances on the Northern outskirts of Deir Ezzur on Tuesday, taking control of several terrorists’ positions on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

The army men pushed ISIL away from more positions on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River and accessed al-Siyasah bridge.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and aircraft pounded ISIL’s movements and positions in the villages and towns of Mahkan, Albu Leil, Bu Amr, al-Asharah, al-Qouriyeh, al-Hosseiniyeh, al-Salehiyeh, al-Janineh, Mahimideh and the neighborhoods of al-Hamidiyeh, al-Roshdiyeh, al-Huweiqa, al-Omal, al-Arzi and Kanamat.

Reports said earlier on Tuesday that the army men hit ISIL’s defense lines North of Deir Ezzur city and captured the village of Hatleh Sharqi on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River, killing tens of terrorists and destroying their positions.

In the meantime, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in the West and South of the town of al-Mayadeen, killing and wounding a number of militants.

The army soldiers, meantime, repelled an attack of ISIL terrorists in al-Mayadeen, destroying two bomb-laden vehicles and killing 10 terrorists.

Damascus

The Syria Army troops pushed terrorists back from more than 8,000 sq/km of territories in Southeastern Damascus near the border with Jordan, well-informed sources reported on Tuesday.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the remaining pockets of terrorists in Southeastern Damascus and seized control over several heights and hills.

The army men are now in control of all the hills and heights near the border with Jordan and purged terrorists from a large region covering 8,000 sq/km area in Southeastern Damascus after their recent advances in the region.

Sweida

The Syrian Army troops managed to purge the Sweida’s Badiyeh (desert) and Southeastern part of Damascus province of terrorists, military sources confirmed on Tuesday.

The sources said that the army and resistance forces drove terrorists out of Badiyeh in Sweida province and captured several regions.

The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV network, meantime, reported that the army and resistance forces, took full control over Sweida’s Badiyeh and the Southeastern territories of Damascus province up to the banned-zone under US’ control in Southern Syria after their advances in Badiyeh.
