Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Sends Massive Military Convoys, Equipment to Hama, Idlib for Imminent Operations

“The Syrian army’s military convoys comprising armored vehicles, artillery and personnel-carriers have been sent to Northern Syria from the country’s South,” the Arabic-language service of Russian Sputnik news agency quoted military sources as saying.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama-Idlib

The Syrian army dispatched large military convoys and hardware to Northern Hama and Southern Idlib for upcoming battles with the terrorists as clashes between the government troops and the militants in the demilitarized zone have increased, media reports said.

The Arabic-language service of Russian Sputnik news agency quoted military sources as saying that the Syrian army’s military convoys comprising armored vehicles, artillery and personnel-carriers have been sent to Northern Syria from the country’s South.

It noted that the dispatch of Syrian troops and military equipment to the Northern and Southern fronts of Idlib indicates imminent military operations in the region against Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists who are in control of major areas in these regions.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery and missile units pounded and destroyed the terrorists’ military positions and movements before they could target the army’s military positions in Northern Hama from Wadi al-Dourat, al-Latamanieh, Hasraya and Lahaya regions.

In Southeastern Idlib, the Syrian army also incurred heavy losses on the terrorists by destroying their military positions in al-Zarzour and al-Farajeh villages in response to their attacks from the demilitarized zone.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army warded off an attack by the ISIL terrorist group on its positions in Eastern Badiya (deserts) of Deir Ezzur province, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.

The Syrian army troops engaged in heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists who had attacked some regions in Eastern deserts in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s missile and artillery units targeted ISIL’s movements in Eastern Badiya, inflicting major losses on the terrorists and repelling their attack.

Meantime, the Syrian army targeted the ISIL’s movements with heavy artillery and missile attacks in the surrounding areas of Jabal al-Gharab and to the Southeast of the town of al-Sukhna in the outskirts of Aviraz region near Homs provincial border with Deir Ezzur in Eastern Badiya of Homs province.

Aleppo

The Damascus Army continued sending fresh troops to Manbij as talks between the government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Eastern Euphrates are underway.

The Smart news website affiliated to the militant groups reported that the Syrian Army’s military convoy comprising tens of military and armored vehicles as well as heavy artillery and weaponry together with the Syrian troops are moving towards Northern Syria from Homs province.

It pointed to the passage of Syrian army’s military convoy from Homs-Hama highway, and said that the convoy has moved towards Manbij.

A senior SDF Commander, Ridur Khalil, pointed to the continued talks between the Syrian government and SDF over a final solution for Manbij, and said this solution will be extended to other regions in Eastern Euphrates.

Khalil pointed to the fact that the Syrian Army is much likely to deploy at the Northern borders with Turkey, and noted that the SDF forces might join the Syrian Army.

Meantime, the Turkish Army sent more military hardware and equipment to Urfa region near the border.

The Turkish Army has extensively sent troops to Urfa, Mardin and Dyarbakir along borders with Syria and also along borders with Iraq in recent days.
