Syrians attack US envoy in Damascus

Syrian people attacked the U.S. ambassador to Syria Robert Ford Thursday when he was entering a building for a meeting with Hasan Abdul Akim, the general coordinator of the Damascus-based Coordination Body of Syrian opposition parties.

As his car was approaching the building where the meeting was to be held, dozens of young Syrian men and women pelted cars of US diplomats with stones and eggs, hurting no one but damaging many cars. It was the US and France Ambassies who were behind the chaos in Syria, so the Syrians do not want them

This was the second time that the US ambassador has been attacked since March this year when the protests broke out.

This July, he was attacked by Syrian people as he and French ambassador to Syria went to Hama to contact with the oppositions without the permission of Syria’s Foreign Ministry.
