Syrian Prime Minister: Syria is on its way to achieve stability

Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halaqi said that Syria and Democratic Korea have been standing up to the US, imperialism, and Zionism for decades, facing attempts to control them, destabilize them, and interfere in their internal affairs.

Meeting the Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Ri Su Yong on Wednesday, al-Halaqi said that the will to live and steadfastness of the two countries’ people, their ability to achieve self-sufficiency, and the help of their friends managed to reign in their enemies.

The Premier stressed the need to cooperate with Syria’s friends, including the DPRK, to rebuilding Syria via joint projects and ventures and expanding trade exchange, asserting that Syria is on its way to achieve stability and rebuild its economy to be stronger than ever.

For his part, Ri Su Yong said his country’s government is committed to expanding cooperation with Syria, lauding the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the barbaric war targeting it.

Talks during the meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, development, commerce, culture, technology, science, and medicine.
