Syrian and Russian aircraft conduct airstrikes on terrorist targets in Idlib
In a coordinated effort to counter the advance of foreign-backed Takfiri militants, Russian and Syrian military aircraft have targeted insurgent positions in Syria's northwestern Idlib province. This strategic move comes amid an ongoing counteroffensive by government troops in the region.

On Sunday, the Syrian military, in coordination with Russian forces, launched intensified airstrikes against militant strongholds in Idlib. This escalation in bombardment targets areas controlled by insurgents in northwestern Syria, near the Turkish border, as part of efforts to repel a renewed militant offensive now entering its second consecutive day.
The Syrian military announced that it has successfully retaken control of multiple towns that had recently fallen into the hands of terrorist groups.
In a strategic move on Thursday, the Syrian army launched a counteroffensive against militant-held positions in the southeast of Idlib. This operation resulted in the recapture of Jobas village, compelling the militants to withdraw from the villages of Dadikh and Kafr Battikh, located to the east of Idlib.
Syrian military forces are currently reorganizing and additional troops are being dispatched to Aleppo to bolster efforts in a counteroffensive against the foreign-backed Takfiri militants, who reportedly advanced into the city last Friday, according to sources within the army.
In a significant escalation of violence in northwest Syria, militants affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham initiated a major offensive across the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib on Wednesday, successfully capturing several strategic locations.
The Syrian government forces have been actively involved in intense confrontations with militant groups as they attempt to reclaim territory.
Since March 2011, Syria has experienced a prolonged period of foreign-backed militancy. The Syrian government has accused Western nations and their regional allies of supporting terrorist organizations to destabilize the country.
The Syrian military announced it had dealt significant blows to terrorist factions that had launched attacks across a broad front. The army further stated that it was working in collaboration with Russian and other allied forces to reclaim the contested territory.
Russia, in collaboration with Iran, has extended support to Syrian forces engaged in battles throughout the war-torn nation, primarily by delivering air support for ground operations targeting foreign-supported militants.
Since the onset of the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria in March 2011, Israel has reportedly been a key supporter of groups opposing the administration of President Bashar al-Assad.
The renewed surge of Takfiri terrorism in Aleppo coincided with Israel’s acceptance of a ceasefire in its conflict with Lebanon. In this confrontation, Hezbollah offered staunch resistance against Israeli forces attempting to gain control of southern parts of the nation.
