Syrian Army Continues Advances in Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian army continued its military operations in surrounding areas of Deir Ezzur city, inflicting heavy losses on ISIL terrorists.

The army units supported by allied forces in Deir Ezzur Airport launched intensive military operations in the surrounding areas of al-Juffreh village to the Southeast of Deir Ezzur city and managed to restore security to the regions around residential areas and military points of the village after regaining control of several areas.

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL’s military positions in al-Janineh, Ayash, al-Baqilieh, Hatleh, al-Huweiqa and the crossing points of al-Juffreh, killing a large number of terrorists and also destroying their military vehicles.

In a relevant development on Tuesday, the Syrian army troops continued their military operations in Eastern Syria after breaking ISIL’s siege and regained control of more areas.

The army units pounded ISIL’s positions in Tal Korom in the outskirts of Deir Ezzur, killing a number of terrorists.

Meantime, the Syrian troops advanced towards the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzur city and took control of several new points.

A military source also disclosed that the Syrian army is planning to lay siege aroung the ISIL terrorists in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

The army troops also continued their advances in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur and took control of Hilltop 17 Southwest of Al-Tamin Brigade after killing a number of terrorists.

In a relevant development on Monday, the Syrian army continued its advances in Deir Ezzur province and managed to retake several points, restoring full security to the surrounding areas of Deir Ezzur military airport.

The Syrian army troops attacked ISIL’s military positions to the South of Deir Ezzur city from the two directions of Panorama and al-Tim oilfield, and managed to take control of al-Tharda 1, al-Tharda 2 and al-Tharda 3 mountains.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army regained control of al-Tharda mountains which are considered the main defense lines for Deir Ezzur military airport in the South.

The Syrian army has now restored full security to the surrounding regions of Deir Ezzur military airport and the airport will soon be ready for operations.
