Syrian Army keeps rolling near Idlib border as HTS loses another town

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale assault in the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate, tonight, targeting the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group’s last positions near the Idlib Governorate border.

Led by the Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the small town of Sarha Qabliyah, striking the jihadist rebel defenses near recently captured Abu Al-Ghir.

Within hours of launching this attack, the Syrian Army was able to break-through the jihadist front-lines and force them to frantically retreat from the town in order to avoid being completely overrun.

According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Army killed at least five militants at Sarha Qabliyah while suffering very little casualties of their own.

As a result of Monday’s advance, the Syrian Arab Army now surrounds the town of Dawsh from three sides – which, if captured, will propel them to the northern flanks of Al-Rahjan and Umm Mayyal.
