Syrian Army Kills 28 Rebels

The Syrian Army killed 28 terrorists in several massive operations in different parts of the country on Monday.

In one of the operations, the Syrian Army’s artillery forces targeted a terrorist controlled police checkpoint in al-Qanitara district, Southwestern Syria, killing several rebels including the leader of the terrorist group, Abu Ali Janani.

The Syrian army also managed to destroy a terrorist base in the Eastern city of Deir al-Zour, killing at least 10 gunmen.

Meantime, 13 other rebels were killed in heavy clashes between the Syrian army and terrorist groups in Qatina district, near the Western Homs province.

The army also foiled terrorists’ plot for attacking al-Mashtal district, Reef (outskirts of) Damascus, and killed 5 gunmen.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
