Syrian Army Makes Fresh Gains against Terrorists in Eastern Homs

 

Arab media outlets reported that the Syrian Army troops, backed up by the Special forces, managed to drive ISIL out of more territories in Syrian Badiyeh (desert), inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Al-Hadath news reported that the army soldiers along with the popular forces of Dar’a al-Watan engaged in a fresh round of clashes with ISILI in the depth of the Syrian Badiyeh near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and managed to win control over Tarkas hill and the entire positions of ISIL in al-Kasarat hills, al-San hill and its nearby hills.

Relevant reports said on Tuesday that the army troops continued to hit ISIL’s defense lines hard in Central Homs and managed to capture more strategic hills, inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL Northwest of the T4 airbase approximately 20km away from the Eastern outskirts of Homs city, capturing a number of hills East and Northwest of al-Tafhah region.

Tens of ISIL fighters were killed and several military vehicle of the terrorist group were destroyed in the attack.

In the meantime, the army continued military operation in the Palmyra countryside and hit ISIL’s strongholds along the main road to the strategic T-3 Pumping Station East of the Talilah Crossroad.

The Syrian pro-government forces are to capture the T-3 Pumping Station, which is a strategic site along the road to Southwestern Deir Ezzur.
