Yemeni Drone Targets Saudi-Paid Mercenaries near Najran

Yemeni troops carried out an aerial attack against Saudi-paid militants near the border region of Najran in retaliation for the Saudi-led coalition’s devastating military aggression against their impoverished country.

A Yemeni military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Yemen’s Saba news agency on Tuesday that Yemeni troopers attacked a gathering of the militants, using a domestically-built Qasef-1 (Striker-1) combat drone.

There were no immediate reports about possible casualties and the extent of damage caused at the site.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Over 15,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
