Syrian Army Sends Reinforcements from Hasaka to Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian army dispatched a large number of fresh military forces from Hasaka to Deir Ezzur province to participate in cleansing operations against the ISIL terrorists.

Local sources in Hasaka reported on Wednesday that the army has sent 160 National Defense Forces from the province to Deir Ezzur via Qamishli international airport to use them in purging operations in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Meantime, the Syrian army troops engaged in clashes with the ISIL terrorists in regions near the villages of al-Qabreh, al-Mataredah and al-Sayal after regaining control over the town of Albu Kamal in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

In a relevant development on Wednesday, the Syrian Army troops stormed ISIL’s strongholds in Southeastern Deir Ezzur and advanced 40 km along the road connecting the town of al-Mayadeen to the town of Albu Kamal, seizing control over several towns and villages.

The army soldiers drove ISIL out of the towns and villages of Zahr al-Nasrani, Sheikh Ali, Wadi al-Khour, Fezeh Ahmad al-Hayfan, Wadi Faliteh and Wadi al-Seil, advancing 40 km along al-Mayadeen-Albu Kamal road in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The army men also pushed ISIL back from the regions of Araz Talhat Malham, Wadi al-Abyaz, Wadi Oweina, Wadi al-Ward, Tal Malham and Sha’ab Kha’an en route to Albu Kamal.

A military source reported that the army men are just 25 km away from areas where their comrades are stationed in the village of al-Ashayer North of Albu Kamal.
