Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has called on the students to persist and work hard seeking knowledge and information, to renew the contract and the pledge to Allah Almighty to bear their duties and responsibilities, explaining that the better the resources are the greater the responsibility in investing the opportunity of youths to dedicate themselves to seeking knowledge and achieving great results.

During his visit to Imam Ali (as) Model Schools in al-Najaf al-Ashraf on Thursday, September 27, 2012, His Eminence described Iraq as the first school and the first alphabet, the first university and the first sciences, drawing attention to Iraq as the homeland of history and civilization that extends to seven thousand years, explaining that the school represents a factory for men and energies, for building man and turning the society into an effective and great status that achieves anticipated ambitions, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and communication between family and school in order to build a solid society.

His Eminence called on the school’s teaching and administrative cadre to put in place all needed measures to build sound ethics, emphasizing the importance of paying attention to the ethical and cultivating aspect besides looking after good teaching of scientific curricula. He stressed the society’s need for competent scientists, men and women, who have science, knowledge and competence and have the ethical network and the sound structures.

His Eminence also pointed out to the need to modernize the scholastic curricula in order to cope with the scientific and technological progress in the world, stressing that the development of the methods of teaching and educating and the use of the modern methods make the student love school, stressing the necessity of abandoning rebuke and abuse of the students at the Iraqi schools because it does not suit our society’s values and the development taking place in the world.

His Eminence pointed out that at the time when we need a network of precautionary penalties, we need besides it to encourage, reward and invent new incentives, stressing in this field the importance of choosing the cooperative humane student who helps solve others’ problems and has leadership dimensions. He drew attention to the great responsibility to plant the patriotic feeling, the love for the homeland, in the souls of our sons and daughters, explaining that raising the flag is not a casual or formal issue but one having dimensions and serious indications. He explained that the flag symbolizes our homeland and identity, stressing the need to strengthen these indications, organizing and sustaining them as well as inventing means that endear the homeland to the students.

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim pointed out to the Citizen Bloc being proud of adopting the plan of a law bill of a student grant and for its ratification, emphasizing the need for the grant to be monthly and not accumulative so it may help the students bypass the economic problems and to pay more attention to the learning reality.

His Eminence also pointed out that building a promising generation requires four basic dimensions, pointing out in this regard to the moral, skill, social and national affiliation dimensions, stressing the importance of strengthening the moral and educational status of the students besides firming coexistence and communication among them.
