Distinguished Bahraini cleric stresses people legitimate demands

Secretary General of Bahrain’s Al Wefaq National Islamic Society has reiterated the people’s will to continue protest rallies until a political solution to the crisis in that country.

According to Al-Lulu satellite network, Sheikh Ali Salman considered the opponents of the ruling regime the entire society of Bahrain, urging for political resolve in the country.
He stated that security measures, suppressive policies, detentions and attacks on the protesters would only complicate the conditions and make it worse.
The Bahraini cleric said that the ruling Ale Khalifa has no option but to live up to the expectations of the people and their legitimate demands. Sheikh Salman reiterated that Bahrain is in need of a new government in which justice is maintained and all individuals have equal rights.
He then lambasted suppressive policies adopted by the Manama regime and said that laws and regulations that do not observe the basic internationally accepted principles would not justify suppressions.
