Syrian deputy foreign minister says US leading war on Syria

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad says the war on Syria is being led by the United States.

Miqdad said in a recent interview that Washington was leading the war on Syria, where Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the Israeli regime are also supporting militants operating against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The Syrian deputy minister also stated that the international community realized that “it has to trust the Syrian state, not terrorists.”

The foreign-backed militants in Syria are “criminals and smugglers, who can be bought by millions of dollars streamlined by Saudi Arabia,” Miqdad stated.

Over 130,000 people have reportedly been killed and millions of others have been displaced in over three years of crisis in Syria.
