Syrian Forces Launch Attack against Daesh in Homs Desert

The Syrian army forces on Wednesday heavily targeted an sleeper cell of Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in the vast desert region of Homs province.

According to a field report from the Homs province, the Syrian army and its allied forces confronted an ISIL contingent near the T-3 Pumping Station, which has witnessed an increase in violence lately, Almasdar reported.

The report said the army was able to force the Daesh militants to flee into the desert, after they inflicted a number of casualties within their ranks.

On Tuesday, the Syrian army also clashed with ISIL in the Homs province, as their forces were targeting the terrorist group in the Badiya Al-Sukhnah region near the Deir Ezzor province.
