Int’l Meeting on Liberation of Palestine to Start Work in Tehran Tomorrow

The Iranian capital city of Tehran is scheduled to host a meeting on the Islamic awakening and liberation of Palestine on Monday with several Iranian and international figures and representatives in attendance.
The conference of “Resistance, Islamic Awakening and Liberation of Palestine” will be held in Tehran on a few days before the International Quds Day.
The event is organized by the Organization of the Culture and Islamic Communication (CIC).
Senior Iranian officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries and representatives of a number of Palestinian groups will participate in the one-day event.
The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.
International Quds Day is an annual event opposing Israel’s occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas. Anti-Zionist rallies and demonstrations are held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Muslim and Arab countries around the world, specially in Iran.
Every year, millions of people take part in the International Quds Day rallies in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and all oppressed nations around the world.
