The Syrian army has sent a large number of forces and military equipment to its bases in the Eastern parts of Aleppo province, including Kuweires airbase, to start operations to liberate the two strategic towns of al-Bab and Deir Hafer.

A media source reported that the Syrian soldiers along with the National Defense Forces and Iraq’s Hezbollah al-Nujaba Movement have been dispatched from Aleppo and the nearby areas to Kuweires airbase and the air force academy in Eastern Aleppo.

The source added that hundreds of soldiers have been sent to Kuweires along with their military vehicles, missile-launchers, heavy artilleries and a large number of weapons and missiles.

Other reports also said that the ISIL has sent a large number of its members to Deir Hafer, al-Imam and other towns near Kuweires leading to continued clashes between them and the Syrian army forces in al-Harmal region and areas near the air force academy.

Earlier reports said almost 6,000 army soldiers have been deployed near the Kuweires airbase waiting for the Damascus order to start a large-scale operation against the ISIL in the two key regions of al-Bab and Deir Hafer in Aleppo.

Media activists reported earlier today that the Syrian and Russian fighter jets launched 60 airstrikes against ISIL positions in the Southern parts of al-Bab city in Northeast of Aleppo.

The Syrian and Russian air forces also targeted the ISIL moves and concentration centers in Arran, al-Baira and Tadaf villages in Aleppo, inflicting large casualties on the terrorists.

The development came after the Syrian army aircraft targeted ISIL’s bases and gatherings South of al-Bab on Wednesday, killing and wounding a number of militants.

The warplanes and choppers carried out several rounds of joint combat flights over ISIL’s concentration centers and positions South of al-Bab, leaving a number of terrorists dead and wounded.

A military source also said that the Syrian government forces are to start a large-scale operation to hit the ISIL in Eastern Aleppo in coming days.
