Syrian People Able to Overcome Current Circumstances, Build Strong Syria

President Bashar al-Assad stressed that the Syrian people, adhering to their unity despite all the difficulties and schemes targeting the homeland, are able to overcome the current circumstances and build the strong Syria.

During a meeting with a delegation of the Arab Popular Initiative for opposing the foreign intervention in Syria and supporting dialogue and reform on Thursday, President al-Assad briefed the delegation on the developments of the crisis in Syria, underlining that support of the Arab peoples will enhance Syria’ strength and its faith in the future.

Members of the delegation expressed their full support to Syria and its people in the face of the systematic targeting which is part of a scheme to fragment the region and to resolve the Arab-israeli conflict to the interest of the zionist enemy.

They said the Syrian people’s awareness of the dimensions of the plot against Syria is the main guarantee for the success of Syria and bolstering the firm national principles, considering that Syria is not to the Syrians only but to all Arabs due to its resistant role. ” Targeting Syria means targeting the resistant project.”

The delegation comprises the secretary-general of Arab National Conference, the head of the Arab-International Forum for the Support of the Resistance, the secretary-general of the Arab Parties Congress and his deputies, the assistant general coordinator of the National Islamic Conference, the general coordinator of the Popular Mobilization Organization, the head of the Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity, the secretary-general of the Pan-Arab Forum and a number of initiative members.
