Syrian Army troops hit terrorists’ concentration centers and movements hard inside Dara’a city and in different parts of the province, inflicting major casualties on the militants.

The Army soldiers targeted terrorists’ positions near al-Qariyeh al-Qarbi bridge in Northeastern Dara’a, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their positions.

Also, the army men targeted a group of terrorists that were monitoring and spying on the army movements in the town of al-Faqi in Northern Dara’a, leaving a number of them dead.

The army troops also hit the vehicles and positions of the terrorists heavily in Hareh al-Bajabjah and Tarq al-Sad (way to Dam) in Dara’a al-Balad district of Dara’a city.

The army men opened heavy heavy machinegun fire at the terrorists in the towns of Ulama, Ibtta and Dael in Dara’a countryside, killing and wounding a number of militants.

Sources privy to rebels disclosed earlier today that militant groups deployed in the Western countryside of Dara’a city have started a large-scale operation to beat ISIL terrorists back from their positions in the region.

The sources said that militants in Western Dara’a stormed ISIL’s positions in Hawz al-Yarmouk region to drive out their rivals from the region.

In the meantime, the Southern Front, including the rebel groups in Southern Syria, announced in a statement that Hawz al-Yarmouk is a military region, calling on civilians to stay away from ISIL’s centers and move to other rebel-held regions.

Media activist Wasam al-Amir said opposition groups’ mortar units have been shelling heavily Hawz al-Yarmouk region in recent days in an initial step for a major operation against ISIL.

Several women and children were killed or wounded in the militants’ mortar shelling.
