Syrian special forces kill 2 ISIS terrorists and capture 7 others near Palmyra

The Syrian special forces carried out a fresh operation this week that targeted ISIS terrorists near the historical city of Palmyra.

According to a military communique, the Syrian special forces ambushed a group of ISIS terrorists that were attempting to sneak into the Al-Abtar Mountain region, which is approximately 30km west of Palmyra.

The communique said that the Syrian special forces managed to kill at least two of the terrorists, while also capturing seven others.

ISIS terrorists were traveling on motorcycles from the Tanf zone in southern Syria through the Batra Mountain in order to establish a new hideout, the communique added.
