Syrian Troops Advance Near Darayya’s Railway Station

“After clashes with the terrorist groups, the Syrian army further advanced in the Southwestern parts of Darayya city in Western Ghouta of Damascus and retook control of a number of residential areas near Nour al-Din Shahid mosque towards North in an area 450m in length and 200m in width,” a field source said on Thursday.

“The army has now reached regions near the railway station,” the source added.

On Tuesday, the Syrian army backed by the country’s air force continued its military advances in Damascus countryside, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists’ military positions in Eastern and Western Ghoutas.

The Syrian fighter jets pounded heavily the gathering centers of the terrorists in the surrounding areas of the town of Ataya on Tuesday.

The terrorists’ military positions in the town of al-Sheyfouniyeh in Eastern Ghouta also came under the Syrian airstrikes.

Meantime, heavy clashes are currently underway in the Momtad farms located between Housh Nasri and Housh al-Zawahera in Eastern Ghouta.

The Syrian ground forces also attacked the terrorists’ positions in the surrounding areas of Khan al-Sheikh in Western Ghouta.
