Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns Twin bombings in Damascus

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast condemned the two terrorist bombings which took place in Damascus on Wednesday and resulted in the martyrdom and injuring of a number of citizens and military Guards.

In a statement, Mehmanparast said that the responsibility for such terrorist actions falls on the countries and sides that seek to foil internal and regional efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria via political methods… without foreign interference.

He affirmed that aggravating the security situation; escalating terrorist and military activities and foreign intervention do not help resolve the crisis at all.

While he denounced these bombings which led to the martyrdom of a reporter from Press TV and injured the director of the office of Al-Alam (World) TV channel, Mehmanparast said that mass media is fulfilling its duties under difficult and dangerous circumstances to cover events and publish facts to raise the awareness of public opinion, stressing that the use of force cannot deter journalists from clarifying the reality of the situation in Syria to the public.
