Iraq: Muharram Mourning Ceremony in Najaf

Muslims from around the world visit the Iraqi city of Najaf which hosts the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS), the first Ahlul-Bait Imam, to observe Muharram mourning ceremonies, the traditional mourning ceremony on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hossein (AS) and his true companions who were martyred in Karbala nearly 14 centuries ago.
