According to IRIB World Service, addressing the worshippers of today’s Tehran Friday prayers, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati pointed to nuclear talks between Iran and five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany in the Swiss capital city of Geneva and reiterated, history shows the western countries are not justice-seeking countries; they always want to be granted advantages and do not want to grant anything in return.”
He stressed: “The five plus one group should deal with Iran’s nuclear energy program realistically and not to make the decisions that harm themselves as well as the Islamic Republic.”
The Ayatollah pointed to the recent terrorist attack near the Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital which martyred Iran’s cultural attaché to Beirut and said: “The footprint of the failed Zionist regime is clearly seen in this terrorist attack. This regime has been taking revenge from Muslim revolutionary forces in Lebanon, Gaza and other places.”
Further in his remarks, he praised the Iranian nation for the massive participation in November 4th rallies which marks fight against global arrogance and said: “The Iranian people by their massive participation in these rallies made Islam and the Islamic system proud and responded to many of the enemies of the Islamic Republic.”
Ayatollah Jannati also pointed to the Basij week in Iran and said: “The Basij in the Islamic Republic system is God’s blessing and the Basij forces should think of launching a global Islamic system.”
